strawberry picking

We've been busy this last week with something planned every day- appointments, trips to the library, outings with friends, time with family. Summer is my favorite time of the year and it always goes by way too fast so I really don't mind the busyness of it all and I enjoy soaking up as much fun outdoors as we can.

Wednesday, we spent the day at the farm for our annual strawberry picking trip with friends. I can't post any photos here of the little one until the adoption is finalized (although I have already started her a baby book and have all of our photos in our own private album), but it was her first time strawberry picking with us and we all had a great time.

Kennadie wandered off by herself and when I asked her what she was doing she told me that she needed her space from her friends, but thankfully I was able to follow and hang out with her. Maybe it's from being an only child for five years or that she has a bit of an introvert personality (just like Josh and I), but I totally get her needing space to recharge. She took a few minutes for herself and then was back playing with her friends. I love that she knows what she needs and will do whatever that is to take care of herself.

Have a great weekend!
