I have never really done any detailed style post on either of the girls, so I thought it would be nice to have one of these type of posts here and there to look back on, and my only regret is that I didn't do this a long time ago!
Nicole has come so far since she first came home last June. She is working on forming her sentences and putting words together (sometimes about 4-5 words) and "talks" a lot. She refers to herself in the third person, "Nicole nap", Nicole's turn", "Nicole all done". It's actually really cute and although we should be correcting her all the time, sometimes it's so cute we let it be. She says, "Oh my God" and "Wow" and "best sista eva" a lot.
She loves dresses and being naked and dancing and being outside. We have been *trying* to start potty training and right now it's not going so well. She likes to sit on the potty but doesn't actually do anything besides that one time. She is in a size 2/3 clothes and a size 5/6 shoe. She sucks her thumb when she's content/sleepy and still loves her blankie- although she just started to switch out her blankie for a big dora blanket a few days ago, so not sure if she has moved on or what. We will see. She likes when I hold her in my arms before bed and sing rock a bye baby to her.
She doesn't watch too much TV but she likes Monster High (because that's what Kennadie likes), and she likes Bubble Guppies. Her favorite drink is anything juice (although we really only do juice on special occasions) and still calls cups and water bottles "bubba's" and "bottles". She is not big into vegetables, but she loves pretty much any fruit and "shrimp shrimp" and chips. She is still the messiest eater ever. She has been the best sleeper since day 1. Right now she will nap from about 1130-2pm or so (sometimes even longer!) and goes to bed around 7pm or so and gets up around 7am. She still will do her screaming shriek thing that she used to do a lot when she first came home, but it is very rare at this point. She will throw a fit if she doesn't get her way or is overtired, and she is stubborn! She adores Kennadie and follows everything she does. She loves the big kids and fits right in and keeps right up with them. She is still getting used to the idea of liking and being nice and sharing with kids her own age and younger, though.
She is strong-willed and hilarious and super sweet and we just love our little girl :)
