Josh was home for most of the day Saturday and we were able to get some stuff done around the house and hang out together and we all did a whole lot of nothing. It was a great weekend and it's just so nice to have Josh home. My sister just graduated with her Masters Degree so on Sunday we had a little cookout and dessert to celebrate with family. So proud of her!
Today we had a tour at Kennadie's new school and my mom came with us. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel as I really would love to just keep her here with me in our little bubble forever :) But her teacher seems really nice and the classroom was great and Kennadie is super excited. As soon as she heard that there was going to be music class it was all over and she is now pretty much counting down the days until she gets to go to school!
I'm not a big fan of her taking the bus so my plan is to bring her to school and pick her up most days. On the car ride home Kennadie expressed how much she really wants to go on the bus. With tears in her eyes she said dramatically, "Even when I get bigger and bigger I will never get to go on the bus. I will never be a big kid!" I definitely don't want to hold her back from anything and I am proud of how independent she is becoming, so I am putting all of my issues and fears aside and told her we could compromise and figure something out where she will get to ride the bus *sometimes* if that is what she wants to do.
