easter egg hunt

We have been taking her to this Easter egg hunt with friends for a few years now and we had a great time today hunting for eggs.

She has already started to catch on about what is real and what is not. She knew this Easter bunny was a person dressed up because she could see the holes for the eyes. I don't try to convince her otherwise because I don't want to "lie" to her (even though I know I grew up with these stories and so many of us go along with the Easter bunny, Santa, etc) but I also don't want to tell her the complete truth at such a young age- I don't want her to lose the magic that goes along with believing in the Easter bunny and Santa and the princesses she sees in the movies.

We spent the rest of the day outside playing out back together.

I don't know what it is about the movie Frozen but the kids are always singing Let it go. Always. While she was swinging she has her eyes closed and just sang the song. I love the way kids can really let go and just live in the moment pretty much at all times.

Excited for Easter tomorrow- brunch, Easter baskets, egg hunt around the house and spending time with family.
