Every year, we have my parents and sister over for dinner, desserts, hot cocoa, tree decorating, and Christmas music. Sometimes, there is a Christmas movie and there is always laughter, fun, goofing around, and three really loud girls.
There are lights strung in the kitchen, apple pie scented candles drifting through the house, seven stockings hung (because we never forget about the animals), a new Christmas tradition-a Christmas village passed down by my Oma- giving a warm glow to the living room, and a cat curled up on his bed by the fireplace. This scene in my house makes me so happy. Christmas time will do that to you.

We brought him to Tufts last weekend and he is still hanging in there. He has been sleeping a lot (due to the pain meds) but when he made his way under the tree to his spot, well, it made the night.
And, she was really into the ornaments this year and studied them like her life depended on it. She was serious about this and made sure every last ornament was hung on the tree.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
