our christmas 2013

Christmas is my favorite time of the year-moments with close family, the entire month of December filled with excitement, seeing Christmas through Kennadie's eyes and the magic of it all. Our Christmas this year was more quiet than usual-Josh's sister and her family were not around as she just gave birth to her little girl and Kennadie was sick but there was a time or two when she was opening gifts on the floor where I couldn't help but think about how this may be the last Christmas before she has a sibling (or siblings) and everything about that feels so right. I am already looking forward to next Christmas, where if all goes as we hope it will, she will get to experience all the magic of Christmas time with siblings.

We had Josh's mom and dad over on Christmas Eve and next weekend we will celebrate Christmas with his entire family.

We blew up over twenty red and green balloons and filled her room up with them as a little surprise for when she woke up in the morning. Unfortunately, when she woke up in the middle of the night with a fever she saw them and had no idea what was all over her floor and freaked out. She climbed into our bed for the rest of the night and although not feeling the best, she woke up excited about Christmas.

This was the year of Frozen, My Little Pony, and Equestria Girl everything.

The last time we were at the Disney Store with her she wanted to buy this brave bow and arrow with her money and Josh didn't think it was a good idea at the time. She seemed really into it though so this was Josh's special gift to her for Christmas.

She has been talking about Glitzy Globes for a few months now, so that was my special gift to her.

After opening gifts with just us three, my parents and sister came down to spend the rest of the day with us.

If you celebrate, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
