recently & a whole lotta pictures!

This summer is flying by & I haven't had much time to blog lately, but I miss this little space over here! We have been spending time with family & friends, taking on little projects around the house, & just enjoying summer!

We had our first home appointment with our social worker & we are officially all signed up to start the mapp training at the end of August! We are pretty excited, but also just taking it day by day & we will see what happens. Throughout all of the trying to conceive, fertility issues, & now towards adopting I have become a much more patient person!! I really had no choice!

I have had a couple of small job opportunities come up in just the past week & I am trying to figure out if/what fits with our lifestyle right now, but I am feeling really blessed to have these choices!

I took a few photos of Oma & Opa while fooling around with my camera last week & I absolutely love the last photo of them! I hope I am this happy & in love & active as they are when I get older!

I had a chance to fool around with my camera & the light the other night & took some photos of Kennadie while we played in the yard & of my mom with Kennadie down at the lake.

goofball!

My mom, Krista, & I went to see David Nail in a small, intimate performance last week. He is so amazing & I love getting lost in his music!

Kennadie loves putting on makeup with me while I am getting ready, digging for worms in the front yard, & I have always loved the gorgeous sunrises on our road!

We spent the day at a farm with some good friends last week. We all had a blast- the kids rode the ponies, we went on the hayride, & saw all the animals. We hung out in the splash park in the afternoon & I love the picture of Kennadie with all the bubbles on her because that "bubble bath" is her absolute favorite. Before we left, the kids painted their faces & it was so hilarious to watch. Kennadie concentrated so hard on her art that she was creating on her face. Watching her paint her face was probably the best moment of the day, just so cute!!

Have a great weekend!
