school vacation week

It was school vacation last week & we had such a great week! My mom made Kennadie a little puppet theater for Valentine's Day & we made some puppets to go with it with Kennadie. She absolutely loves this! We kind of messed up the puppet theater though-we made the opening way too big & it's it upside down. Oops! So eventually I will grab another curtain & we will attempt this project again but for now it works & she doesn't know the difference :)

I took Kennadie bowling with a few friends on Tuesday & then we all went out to lunch. I love that we have these wonderful people in our lives & that we get to spend so much time with them. I can't even imagine life without them!

My sister's 28th birthday was on Wednesday! I can't believe my little sis is 28!! Where has the time gone?!

Thursday we took a trip to the Burlington Mall with some friends. Our plan was to go to the Build a Bear Workshop & then over to the Rainforest Cafe for lunch but we forgot to put our names in at the restaurant when we first arrived at the mall. When we made our way down there the wait was over an hour long & with a bunch of kids we knew that wasn't going to happen. So we ended up eating at the food court & it worked out well; the kids had a chance to play & run around in the play area & the adults had a chance to talk. It was a great day!

Friday we went to Gigi's Glitzy Boutique for a Princess Tea Party with Belle. This was so adorable & the little boutique is just awesome! Princess Belle sang & danced with the kids & read the girls a story. They decorated little tea cups, & ate cookies, cupcakes, & fruit. Princess Belle came around to each girl & gave them an autographed picture. After the kids ate they all got to take pictures with the princess & play with her for a bit. Such a great way to end the week!

I want to be a Disney Princess. How fun would that job be?
My son's vacation is in 2 weeks and I think I'm going to steal the puppet theater idea :)

So cute!!!!

How did you make the sock puppets? Was it a kit that came with socks+supplies, or did you buy the stuff separately?

Yeah it would be pretty fun & I think they get paid pretty good too- too bad I hate being center of attention & I suck at singing so I would be a horrible princess :) Kennadie wanted a princess for her birthday party & to have a princess come for an hour it was $250 & the price goes up for every half hour after that...We decided on a playground party instead :)

I got the puppet theater idea off of pinterest, I want to see pictures if you make it!!! Ours sucks!
