Lately, our days consist of playing in the snow. A lot. Growing up, I loved waking up to snow outside my bedroom window, days off from school, sledding down the big hill in our backyard with our dog chasing behind us, & making snow forts in the front with my sister & all the kids in the neighborhood. It was around the time when I turned 21 that I began to hate the winter. It’s too long & cold for me. I have always hated being cooped up inside, my car would always get stuck in our driveway, I was in a bad car accident, & my fear of driving in the snow began.
Even though I am not the biggest fan of the winter, watching how excited Kennadie gets when she wakes up & runs out of her room shouting, “Mommy! Come look, there is snow out my window!” has made me learn to appreciate it a little more. Although I will always chose palm trees, sandy beaches, & warm sun over cold & snow any day, she opens my eyes & I see winter just a little bit differently now.

She talks about ice skating all. the. time. so it didn't surprise me when she brushed the snow off the top of the sandbox & made me "ice skate" on it with her. She named me Princess Ice skate & she was Prince Pirate...I love her little imagination :)
he loves the snow
not happy when snow got all over her face
That? Is what she calls her snow castle. Josh made a really cool fort with all of the snow that was plowed at the end of our driveway. This thing is awesome; it has a tunnel, 2 "slides", & all sorts of paths.
