friday brain dump

My bff Aile & I don’t get together as much as we used to but we managed to get together over the weekend. She came over with her 3 daughters. While the kids played, she & I chit chatted over coffee trying to catch up. The kids play so great together & I love seeing how Kennadie comes out her shell with them. We should do this more often.

Josh had a work meeting Sunday so Kennadie & I headed to church. We just started going to this church but I have wanted to try it out for about 2 years now. I finally attended a service a little over a month ago & I am so happy I did. The people have been so kind. I attended a women's breakfast with about 150 women, joined a moms group through the church & Kennadie seems to really enjoy the Sunday school. We are loving it!

Later that afternoon Kennadie & I went to my friend Anthony's Jack & Jill baby shower. Anthony & I have been friends for 23 years. It was great seeing him & his family who I haven’t seen in a long time. I am so excited for them & can't wait to meet their baby boy!

I never finished my college degree & lately it has been bugging me. I really want to finish it & believe it will only help me in the future. I started going to college for my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology years ago. After going through PPA/PPOCD I have become really passionate about helping others. This past week I met with my admissions counselor on finishing up my degree. Sooo, I am really considering finishing this up & seeing where it takes me. We shall see.....

I met with Amy (a State Coordinator for PSI) this week.We are working on trying to get a support group going in our area for women who go through postpartum mood disorders. We have NOTHING. It would be amazing to have one close to where we live. Very. Much. Needed.

I had to bring Kennadie to our meeting & she was SO good. It was a beautiful warm sunny day so I took her over to the park when the meeting was over. We had so much fun playing on the playground, walking around the pond, climbing rocks & watching the ducks. Perfect day.
frozen yogurt during our meeting to keep Kennadie busy
